Jordan Desert Challenge for Medequip4kids

THIS IS A TRULY SPECTACULAR hike through the Arabian desert in Jordan starting at the Dead Sea – the lowest point on earth – and finishing in the ancient rock city of Petra. We will sleep under the stars each night as we trek with our Bedouin guides through areas of amazing solitude and great beauty. Our route takes us from the bottom of valleys to the top of mountains over terrain that is exciting and challenging. The shared experience of this very special hike will guarantee it is full of friendship and fun.
The Jordan Desert Challenge is the fourth Let’s Trek for Children event to raise funds for sick and disadvantaged children through the work of four special charities. It is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and fun-filled adventure in an amazing location knowing that every step taken will benefit thousands of children and young people.
To take part in this spectacular hike from the Dead Sea to Petra between 20- 27 March 2010 you first need to pay a registration fee of £250 and raise a minimum sponsorship amount of £2,500.
All funds raised by Let’s Trek for Children after costs will be divided between MedEquip4Kids as well as Barnardo’s, Dreams Come True and Kith & Kids.
