CARE Olympic Cycle Challenge for CARE International UK
Location: Surrey
Join us to cycle a London and Surrey loop based on the Olympic Road Race. This is the perfect challenge for cycling enthusiasts and novices as you will have the opportunity to complete a significant part of the Olympic circuit.
You will set off on your bike through Richmond Park, crossing over the Thames at Richmond Bridge. After passing Hampton Court, you will enjoy a riverside stretch to Weybridge before reaching the suburbs of Surrey.
After pedalling through idyllic country lanes of rural Surrey, you will gradually climb onto the North Downs. The final stretch of the route takes you up Box Hill, via the Zig Zag Hill, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the area.
After a well-deserved break, you will continue to cycle along the route via Esher and Richmond Park to finish near Putney.
What's included:
- Marked route & directions
- Marshals on route
- Medics and support staff
- 2 refreshment stops (refreshments will be provided at the first stop and lunch will be provided at the second stop)
- Celebration drink at the finish line
The minimum fundraising for this cycling event is £150 per participant. We will be on hand to support you at every stage of the challenge, from fundraising to training and completing the challenge.
