Aims & Objectives:
ARK is an international charity whose purpose is to transform children’s lives.
Founded in 2002 by leaders in the alternative investment industry, pooling their skills and resources to improve the life chances of children, ARK delivers high social returns on philanthropic investment. ARK brings together passionate experts with the best talent from business to deliver its vision on the ground.
ARK’s programmes are designed to be catalytic, sustainable and measurable and are focused on meeting pre-defined strategic goals in the areas of Health (sub-Saharan Africa), Education (UK, US, India) and Child Protection (Eastern Europe).
Since 2002, ARK has raised £150m and leveraged a further £250m in additional direct support from governments and international grant-making bodies. ARK’s board of trustees and patrons ensure that central and administrative costs are met, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to its programmes. Over the past nine years, more than 200,000 children have benefited from ARK programmes.
