Over the last year or so, there have been many high-profile cases regarding data losses, stemming from weaknesses surrounding organisational controls over data security. To date, no major charities have been caught out; however it is only a matter of time. Charities hold a lot of personal data, they are in the public domain, and operate similar processes to the rest of the economy.
