The rich are different, but some are more different than others, according to a recent report
A group of 46 wealthy heirs, industrialists and entrepreneurs rich enough not to work and enjoy a comfortable life are publicly campaigning to pay more tax. As one lobby group spokesperson put it: ‘As members of this country, we are deeply convinced that the rich should contribute more to cope with the financial burdens that we are dealing with in the economic crisis. Wealth is an obligation. It needs to serve the public welfare.’
