Sometimes you wonder why on earth anyone would volunteer to be a trustee. With the stream of well-intentioned advice (from professional advisers, professional bodies and the government for starters) and increasing regulation coming from all quarters, it is easy to forget why you took on the challenge in the first place. Then you take a step back, block out all the noise and remind yourself that you readily volunteered in the hope and expectation that you were giving something back to society and those less fortunate than yourselves.
