Still working for a charity?
While the labour market for charity employees looks uncertain, Karl Wilding shares why he wouldn’t be in any other sector
Ever found yourself coming up against what I call ‘the wedding problem’? Let me explain. I explain that I work for a charity and that I am paid. At this point, I invariably have to reveal that there are in fact lots of people working in the sector and that they are paid too and that, year on year, there are more and more of us. But the cuts we are all experiencing now mean that I’ll need to change my story.
