Let’s face it, these are hard times for any fundraising organisation. The gloomy economic situation is bad enough in itself, but the perception of hard times is probably worse. There are plenty of people out there who have not been affected by the credit crunch or the jobs market or the recession one bit. But they worry they might be – and that’s the point. Fundraising is as much about the psychology of feeling able to give as it is the reality. So in this short article we set out ten things that any organisation can do to make its financial viability stronger during the tough times ahead.
