It is a wise man who learns not only from his mistakes but from others’; however it is a wiser man who also learns from others’ successes. ACEVO in association with Euclid Network recently released Lessons from Abroad: the third sectors role in public service transformation, a publication detailing examples of third sector and Government partnership from Europe, Asia, America and Australia. Despite the fact that the political systems and relationships between the third sector and governments vary from nation to nation, there are still many instances where practice can be adapted, adopted and applied. Policy transfer remains one of the principal means for the creation of new policy along with top-down and bottom-up approaches.
