Ian Bird reports that nearly three quarters of charities have not assessed the impact of the 2012 pension reforms
The 2009/10 ACEVO Employee Benefits Survey [1], which was carried out in conjunction with national employee benefits adviser, Foster Denovo Ltd, has revealed that almost three quarters (73 per cent) of charities have not assessed the impact of legislative changes to their pension strategy. In the previous survey which was undertaken in November 2008, this figure stood at 84 per cent, which highlights that the sector has seen some progress, but that there is still some way to go. See also ‘Pensions for all’ in Caritas, issue 16, March 2009. This provides more details of the 2010 Personal Accounts rules and the implications for employers.
