Mike Whitlam CBE is a consultant having worked at senior manager level in the voluntary sector for 30 years.
A former governor of the Prison Service, he went on to take up roles as the UK director for Save the Children Fund, chief executive of the Royal National Institute for the Deaf, and director general of the British Red Cross.
He also chairs the Ofcom Advisory Committee on older and disabled persons issues and is a non executive director of a PCT.
