Martin Brookes is chief executive of New Philanthropy Capital, a charity think tank and consultancy dedicated to helping funders and charities achieve a greater impact.
In 2009, Martin co-founded a new charity, Pro Bono Economics, which pairs charities with economists.
Prior to joining NPC, he was a senior economist at Goldman Sachs International and, before that, an economist at the Bank of England.

Jonathan Welfare has just retired as chief executive of Elizabeth Finn Care, which he joined in 1995.
Previous roles have included chief executive of the Landmark Trust and deputy CEO of a major UK local authority.
An economist by background, he is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Freeman of the City of London.
