Martin Brookes beleives that charities can do more to demonstrate the impact and benefits of their activities
In an article on 1 January 2009, the outspoken Times columnist Matthew Parris wrote about his recent trip to Malawi with Pump Aid, the Times Christmas Appeal charity. A self- confessed sceptic of overseas aid, Parris was not one to be easily won over by a charity’s stories and appeals. Like many journalists, he was a tough nut to crack.
