Tom Flood says why it is high time rainforests stopped being a long way from here
In 2001, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation published a report entitled Rainforests are a Long Way from Here [1]. The study found that the general public was ‘unfamiliar with the language of environmentalism’, and that ‘environmental organisations were largely seen as important though little was known about them beyond media stereotypes’.
