Dominic Rudd joined the Samaritans as chief executive in March 2007 moving from the RSPCA where he was operations director. He spent 12 years as an officer in the Royal Marines and then moved to a masonry supply business. As well as being the Samaritans' chief executive, Dominic is an active member of the community, being a volunteer at his local Samaritans branch and a community governor at his local primary school. Married to Helena, a director at Roffey Park Management Institute, Dominic has two sons from a previous marriage: Ed, 25, a stonemason, and George, 22, who is at college studying IT
