Calling all lottery-funding project champions
The National Lottery Awards 2011 are now open for entries from Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
If your charity has been a recipient of lottery funding, you have an opportunity to nominate a project for recognition in the best voluntary/charity project categoryin this year’s National Lottery Awards, visit www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk to find out more or call 0207 960 6828. Entries must be received by 5pm on Friday 18 February.Between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010 over £392m of Lottery funding has been invested in charities, with lottery players raising £28m every week for projects of all sizes, which benefit people, places and communities all across the UK.
The entrants that make it to the finals of The National Lottery Awards will receive national recognition at a celebrity event broadcast on BBC One later this year. They will also have a chance to win a £2000 cash prize to spend on their project (it is not a Lottery grant).
