A welcome in the hillside
Charities across Wales have been working towards forging strong links to maximise their impact and an event was held at the Welsh Assembly, bringing together over 20 assembly ministers and the chair and senior staff of the Charity Commission...
Key themes of the discussions included the importance of partnerships and supporting trustees.
Dame Suzi Leather, chair of the Charity Commission, praised the achievements of the Welsh voluntary sector. ‘I’m impressed by how close and engaged the relationship is between the Assembly Government and the Voluntary Sector here in Wales and I’m especially encouraged by the extensive partnership work that goes on,’ she said.
The Commission’s Wales office, based in Newport since 2004, regulates and advises over 11,000 registered and unregistered charities in Wales.
