The Firm

Established in 1785 the firm now has offices in Bath, London, Cambridge and Melksham and serves clients throughout the UK and overseas.

Charity & Education Team

The Charity & Education team is led by Michael King and comprises 6 Partners and 14 assistants all of whom focus solely on charity and education clients.

We act for over 170 of the country's leading charity and not-for-profit organisations on a wide range of activities and across a broad spectrum of interests. We also act for over 400 maintained and independent schools and have been instructed on some 20% of the national total of academy conversions to date.

The team includes individual partners and consultants all of whom are independently recognised for their charity and educational expertise, including Jonathan Burchfield, Ann Philips, Robert Meakin, Stephen Ravenscroft, Richard Gold and Roger Inman.

This team is complemented by individual specialists from within the firm providing bespoke advice on property, employment law, dispute resolution and corporate & commercial issues.
