BACKGROUND

Principal is an investment company specialising in discretionary portfolio management.  Our aim is to combine the highest standards of investment expertise with a genuinely personal and down-to earth service.

Founded in 1987, our business has grown through personal recommendations from satisfied clients and their professional advisers.  As a result, Principal is now one of the leading private client portfolio management specialists based in the South of England, managing assets approaching £1billlion*.

SERVICE FOR CHARITIES

Principal has extensive experience of working with charities of all sizes and types, including religious funds, NHS funds, charitable trusts and welfare organisations etc. Many of these charities have specific investment constraints.

Segregated management allows us to exercise full control over any ethical constraints that may be imposed, such as bans on tobacco, armaments, oil companies and so on. In every case the impact of investment constraints on investment returns and portfolio diversification are discussed, and appropriate benchmarks established.

OUR SERVICE FOR ALL

We pride ourselves on giving a high level of personal service which is so often lacking from the larger investment firms.

  • What sets Principal apart is our obsession with quality, which permeates every aspect of our business.
  • Our aim is to deliver a genuinely personal service, combined with a disciplined investment approach, and the best industry standards of administration.
  • Our managers like working in the more personal environment of a smaller business, where they can really get to know each client and give the level of personal attention that makes all the difference.
  • We believe in investment basics – not in following the latest fad or fashion.

Fully segregated portfolios, tailored to your charity’s individual requirements, are available from just £250,000.
