Services

Newton's dedicated charity fund management team is aware of the ever-increasing demands on charities and its aim, therefore, is simple: to provide straightforward investment solutions to satisfy trustees' objectives. Portfolios are managed in a number of ways and are designed to help ensure that investment objectives are met in the most straightforward and efficient manner, taking account of income requirements and any ethical policies. Our team offers both specialist knowledge and a proven commitment to the charity sector.

Our investment service for charities includes:

o a full, segregated fund management service for charities with over £5 million
o specialist charity funds, the Global Growth & Income fund for Charities and the SRI fund for Charities
o understanding and working within legal restrictions affecting your charity
o working in partnership with you in the formulation of an investment policy
o agreeing an appropriate measure of performance
o undertaking the administrative burden of investment transactions
o a regular and comprehensive reporting service.

The managers in our specialist charity team have an average of 20 years' experience in the management of charitable funds, and many are trustees of charities in their own right.

Investment Strategy

Since its inception over 30 years ago, Newton has pursued a global thematic approach to investment. This approach recognises that no economy, industrial sector or company should be seen in isolation when there is a global market for goods and services. Newton's global thematic approach to stock selection combines the skills of global industrial analysts and individual portfolio managers to help generate long-term returns for its clients.
